What This Stage Is Looking For
TEDxWilsonPark is focused on idea-driven talks across a wide range of subjects. The theme is “Ignite”
Their goal is to bring together:
ideas that foster learning
perspectives that spark conversation
insights that challenge how people think
Talks are capped at 12 minutes and must focus on one clear idea worth spreading.
A Key Question in This Application
TEDxWilsonPark asks a question that many speakers overlook:
“Why are you the most qualified person in the world to speak on this subject?”
They even call this out directly:
We want to know your credentials and direct experiences around the subject you would like to share on stage. Also, what specifically are you actively doing to pursue this idea? Is there any applied research being done to support this idea?
They are not just selecting topics.
They are selecting voices with depth, credibility, and lived or applied experience.
How to apply
You’ll need to provide:
A one-sentence idea summary
Why your idea matters (globally and/or locally)
Why you are the right person to share it
Any supporting experience, credentials, or research
Optional: a past speaking video (I recommend filming a 1-3 minute video for them if you don’t have a past video - read this past post on how to film a video if you need tips.
If selected, you may be contacted for a phone interview before May 10, 2026.
