TEDxKingstonUponThames (England) Open Speaker Applications
Update - Submission Closed early
TEDxKingstonUponThames is looking for speakers for its October event, Human, Amplified.
The team wants ideas that explore how technology, human experiences, discoveries, creative breakthroughs, and even small moments of insight can expand what people are capable of.
Here’s what you need to know before applying.
Key Event Details
TEDxKingstonUponThames
Event Date: October 15, 2026
Application Deadline: Update** Submission closed earlier than stated August 7 deadline. I reached out to organizer’s but they have not reopened the form.
Location: Surbiton, Surrey, United Kingdom
The exact venue is still listed as TBC, but the event will take place in the Kingston upon Thames area of southwest London.
Theme: Human, Amplified
The team describes the theme through one central question:
What does it mean to be more human in a world of rapid change?
They are interested in the ideas, technologies, and experiences that amplify human potential.
That could include breakthroughs in AI, scientific discoveries, new approaches to education, creative experimentation, community change, or the insights that help people become more connected and capable.
Who Is This For
Kingston upon Thames is part of Greater London, and the organizers appear especially interested in speakers who can realistically participate in the preparation process.
According to the event’s co-founder, “UK-based applicants are likely to be the most practical fit, although the team has historically invited a small number of international speakers.”
International applicants are not automatically excluded, but you should think seriously about travel and your availability for rehearsals before applying.
About the Organizers and Community

Across its past events, the organization reports producing 73 talks and 13 performances, with more than 2 million views on YouTube. Previous events have explored themes including Life Finds a Way, Cut Through the Noise, and Living the Good Life.
The application says the event is being built around community, curiosity, and conversations that matter. The team’s previous speaker selections also cover a wide range of subjects, including technology, architecture, burnout, disability, social connection, health, identity, and culture.
