TEDxEustis is looking for speakers and performers for its tenth annual event!
This is an established TEDx event with an intensive development process. Selected speakers will spend approximately six months refining their talks with a coach, rehearsing, and responding to feedback.
The application window is short, so start developing your submission now!
Key Event Details
TEDxEustis
📍 Eustis, Florida, USA — in person
Event Date: March 13, 2027
Deadline: September 4, 2026
Talk Length: Maximum 10 minutes
Rehearsal: March 12, 2027, in Eustis
Deadline note: The official Facebook announcement and application materials state September 4. The event’s speaker-information page currently says September 10. I recommend applying by September 4 unless TEDxEustis formally confirms the later date.
Theme
The theme has not yet been selected.
TEDxEustis says its team chooses the event theme after reviewing the submissions. This means applicants should concentrate on presenting a strong, specific idea rather than trying to fit an announced theme.
The organizers are looking for ideas developed through personal experience, original research, or work the applicant has created.
They discourage:
Religious talks unless religion is examined within a broader societal context
Pseudoscience and unsupported personal conjecture
Conventional self-help or coaching topics unless the method, research, or experience is genuinely new and noteworthy
Promotional talks or pitches for a company, product, service, or organization
All selected talks will be fact-checked.
Who Is This For
No residency requirement is publicly stated.
Selected speakers must be prepared to:
Develop a talk of no more than 10 minutes
Deliver the talk without slides or props
Work closely with an assigned TEDxEustis coach
Participate in approximately six months of development and preparation
Meet all writing, coaching, communication, and rehearsal deadlines
Present the talk to at least six practice groups and consider their feedback
Attend both the in-person rehearsal on March 12 and the event on March 13
Remain for the full duration of both required days
Pay their own travel, accommodation, and related expenses
About the Organizers and Community
The 2027 event will mark TEDxEustis’s tenth annual gathering in Eustis, Florida.
The independently organized event has developed speakers whose talks have gone on to reach large international audiences.
Applications are evaluated by a team of approximately nine readers. Identifying information is removed before submissions are scored, helping the reviewers focus on the proposed idea.
After the initial review, only applicants whose ideas the curators believe could be right for the stage will be invited to continue in the selection process.
How to Apply
This is what you’ll need to submit on the application form:
Your personal and contact information
Your location, including your state or equivalent region
In one (short) sentence, tell us your "Idea Worth Spreading". (Be specific and clear - nebulous ideas get rejected. And self-help talks or business/life coaching talks are almost always rejected. Do not simply list a title of a talk unless it is a full sentence.)
Provide a detailed description of the “Idea Worth Spreading” (this means elaborate on your single sentence with a description of your idea that includes a beginning, middle, and end. Don’t be vague. Be specific about what you will share on the stage if selected)
Why are you the ONE PERSON who can give this talk or performance? In other words, what makes this talk or performance (and you) special? (They are not looking just for "I lived this" examples. What are your professional or community credentials that show you've been working on this idea for a while and have extensive experience in this field.)
Special Note: Per the application form, avoid including any acronyms in your submission.
